Why did you join the board?
I could see the positive impact that soccer, and more specifically, the North Toronto Soccer Club, was having on my kids playing soccer at both the competitive and recreational level. I wanted to contribute to help the Club continue to help kids in our community stay active, develop as athletes and team players, and have fun!

What professional or other experience do you bring to the board?
Business background as a process and strategy consultant

How many years have you been on the board? At the club?
1 and a half years on the Board, 7 years as a parent at the Club

What other volunteer roles have you held at NT or another youth soccer/sport team? (Team Manager, Social Manager, parent, etc.)
I have enjoyed being a team manager for my children’s competitive teams from Grassroots to Talented Pathway, organizing team travel and social events that the experience for players and their families at the club.

What impact have you had as a volunteer at North Toronto Soccer?
Initiated the NTSC Community Partners Committee in 2021 to centralize and improve communications across the Club with respect to Sponsorship and Fundraising

Why is a board important in a youth soccer club?
Ultimately, the goal of a board for a youth soccer club is to ensure inclusion and accessibility to all members of our community so that sports is attainable and welcoming to all who want to join; and to ensure oversight, accountability and transparency in the operations of the organization.
