Why did you join the board?
North Toronto Soccer is a leading community sport organization. I wanted to help support and advance all of the great work they are doing in our community and as a leading club in the country.

What professional or other experience do you bring to the board?
I have worked at all levels of sport in this country. My areas of focus are sport events and most recently, Safe Sport.
How many years have you been on the board? At the club?
I am beginning my 3rd year on the board and 5th year at the club as a parent.
What other volunteer roles have you held at NT or another youth soccer/sport team? (Team Manager, Social Manager, parent, etc.)
Volunteer coach and parent of 2 kids in the club, one in the Competitive Program and one in the Recreation Program.
What impact have you had as a volunteer at North Toronto Soccer?
I’ve been able to advise the club on best practices in Safe Sport.
Why is a board important in a youth soccer club?
At this level a board provides a community perspective and support for the professional staff. It builds support and capacity within the organization beyond the staff.
