We are excited to announce our new Physical Literacy Program that will start on Sunday, February 2nd led by Michela Panzica at Blythwood Public School in the gym.
Michela is a new member of staff to North Toronto who will bring great expertise to this area.
Michela is a passionate strength and conditioning coach with over 5 years of experience working with athletes of all ages. She was a soccer player and now a college graduate in fitness and health promotion. She is excited to run a fun and engaging physical literacy program for young athletes focusing on building movement skills, confidence and lifelong love for physical activity through creative and dynamic movements.
The program will run for 8 weeks (excluding February 16th and March 16th), ending on April 6th.
There is a limited capacity (15 players per hour) and they will be co-ed sessions.
The purpose of the program is to give players the opportunity to continue to develop their basic fundamental movements such as running, jumping, changing direction, crawling, balancing, coordination, throwing and catching. All these movements and many more are crucial for soccer players, athletes and daily life.
This is an additional program that will run alongside your regular program, registration is required. The fee is $200 for the 8 sessions.
Please register here https://ntsoccer.powerupsports.com/ and the program is labeled Physical Literacy Program.
We look forward to incorporating this program to our players to further their development.
