League1 Ontario MenNitros News

Where are they now? A look into our success from the Men’s Program.

Have you ever wondered how many pros have come out of our Men’s Program? Let’s take a moment to introduce you to a few who have found success as North Toronto Alumni.

Up first we’ve got our MLS stars – Hugo Mbongue and Ralph Priso.

Before moving onto the Toronto FC Academy, Hugo (born in 2004) started as a Nitro from a young age. In September 2022, he signed with TFC’s first team and made his debut in the MLS the following month. Mbongue has been with the team ever since, having signed a contract through the end of 2025, and has made 11 appearances for the city’s club this year.

Hugo’s older brother, Ralph Priso (born in 2002), also started with the Nitros at age 11. Determined to start a professional career, Ralph tried out for the Toronto FC Academy multiple times before finally being accepted into the program at 14 years old. In 2020, he signed for the first team and made his debut in the MLS. He continues his successful career today with the Colorado Rapids.

Up next, we’ve got our European ballers – Anthony Aromatario (born 2003), Noah Durao (born 2004) and Dylan Lopes (born 2003).

Former North Toronto player, Anthony Aromatario, signed for Tre Fiori in San Marino earlier this year. The right-footed centre-mid has made 4 appearances for the squad. If you ever find yourself in San Marino, keep an eye out for Anthony and his quick feet, technical ability, and his vision for the game.

We’ve got not only one, but two Nitros alum currently playing out in Portugal. Noah Durāo (featured on the left) started out his professional career with Beira Mar SC before being transferred to Torre de Moncorvo this past summer.

Dylan Lopes (featured below) is a 6ft tall centre-back who signed a one-year contract with Athlético Clube Cacém in July. He has made 6 appearances so far, taking part in the club’s recent 3-game win streak.

Last, but certainly not least, is Dekwon Barrow. This powerful forward embraces his strengths and exploits the weaknesses of his defenders. Barrow signed with TFC ll and plays in MLS Next Pro. Already making his mark, there’s no doubt that further success is eminent with his desire and commitment to the game.

Want to know what they all have in common? North Toronto’s very own Coach Marko Milanovic. His dedication to his players and ability to extract their potential is truly admirable. Marko’s passion for the game never rests and he is currently looking for more talent to add to his teams. Think it could be you? Register your interest here or email Marko at marko@northtorontosoccer.com to schedule a trial for our Men’s League1 Reserves (born 2007) and League2 (born 2006) Teams.
