On behalf of North Toronto Soccer’s Board, staff and community, it is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Voula Michaelidis, Director of North Toronto Soccer. A valued member of our board and community, Voula was not only a Director but also a parent of current North Toronto Soccer players Hanna and Matthew.
Voula was an exceptional person who brought a unique skill set to the board, as a trained occupational therapist and practicing employment lawyer. Voula’s ability to navigate complex topics with calm and a balanced perspective was truly remarkable.
Voula’s involvement with the club leadership began many years before she became a Director. Voula supported the Club through some complex topics, always ensuring the club’s decisions were made with compassion and clarity.
To Voula’s family: we extend our heartfelt condolences, particularly to Hanna and Matthew who are active players on our teams. We hope that you will feel support from your teammates and the community through these very difficult times.
